![]() ![]() I hunt and hike in some of the most rugged country imaginable but have never had a pair boots react like this. The bobbed soles broke off and left the inner part of the sole exposed. Both boots soles are torn away on the bottom. After the third day out and about 20 miles of total hiking I inspected the boots. If that little crack was all that was wrong I would live with it. Well I would try a second and even third hike. The cracks went from one of the holes made from the stitching across to the outside of the sole. The boots felt great but when I got home I noticed both boots had a crack on the upper part of the sole in the instep area of the boot. I wore these boots in and around the house for 4 days to break them in and get used to them. They look so nice I was afraid to wear them to the mountain. I got the Elk Tracker Boot and fell in love with the look. Big Game Hunting (deer, elk, turkey, etc.),.# What are your primary activities when wearing this product: (select all that apply).I even stop in by them when I’m in the area to just say hi and shoot the breeze, and continuously tell them how great the products they sell are. I get top notch service from these guys that have known me on a first name basis basically since they opened the store. I also owe credit to Will and his guys at the Delafield Red Wing store, not only did I finally get a red wing boot store close to home. Point to my boots and say these red wings/ Irish setters are anywhere from a year old to 6 years old depending on which pair I’m wearing at the time. My response back to them is I tell them, I told you so. These people will buy cheap boots and 3 to 6 months later they are complaining about how their boots are junk already. To answer them back I explain that in this case you get what you pay for. When I mention red wings/ Irish setters to the newer people in the construction industry a lot of them always comment back about price. ![]() In the past I have tried other brands as well as friends and coworkers have and nothing comes close to red wings/ Irish setters. I have yet to find another brand of boot that is as comfortable, durable and last as long as my red wings/ Irish setters. ![]() I have been wearing red wing / Irish setter boots for over 20 years now. ![]()
